Fandom Measurement Scale (FMS)
Celebrity Worship in Context:
The Interplay of Loneliness, Fandom, and Parasocial Commitment
A quantitative research project examining how loneliness, fandom engagement, and parasocial relationships relate to celebrity admiration. Using validated psychological measures and statistical analysis, the study identifies patterns in how individuals form and maintain attachments to public figures.
Development of a multi-dimensional scale designed to measure fandom engagement across cognitive, emotional, and behavioral domains. The project focused on creating a reliable instrument for capturing how individuals interact with and invest in fandom-related content.
ABA Experiment Software
A custom-built behavioral research tool designed to track user responses under controlled reinforcement schedules. The software captures real-time input and timing data, enabling precise analysis of behavioral patterns during extinction and learning processes.
Personal Projects
Ludum Dare 57 Project
The Adventures of Wormington is a 2D action-adventure game created for Ludum Dare. Players take control of Wormington as he burrows underground in search of his lost house key, collecting gold, upgrading equipment, and navigating increasingly dangerous tunnels filled with enemies and environmental hazards. The project was developed under strict game jam time constraints, requiring rapid iteration across gameplay systems, level design, visual presentation, and overall player experience.
Ludum Dare 59 Project
Mycelium Menace is a survival-focused game developed for Ludum Dare in which players are stranded on a hostile island overrun by giant insects. Players must repair abandoned radio towers, manage mounting environmental threats, and work alongside AI companions known as the Shroomies to send a distress signal and escape. I was responsible for the game’s visual art and contributed to the rapid design and development process required within the game jam’s strict time constraints.
Ludum Dare 54 Project
Bullfrog Burnie is a platforming game developed for Ludum Dare in which players guide Burnie through a series of increasingly challenging vertical levels. The project focused on responsive movement, obstacle-based level design, and fast-paced gameplay, while also emphasizing rapid development and iteration within the limited timeframe of a competitive game jam environment.
Interactive Behavioral Assessment Environment (IBAE)
An upcoming interactive behavioral research game designed to examine operant behavior, reinforcement, and extinction processes within a simulated farming environment. Participants complete farming tasks and earn points through gameplay while the system passively records behavioral response patterns and decision-making data for experimental analysis.
A Translational Evaluation of Behavioral Contrast Using Eye-Tracking Methods
This study examines behavioral contrast in college students using a translational behavior-analytic preparation with eye-tracking methods. Participants completed a point-earning task across changing reinforcement conditions while visual-attention data were collected to evaluate how participants attended to programmed stimuli. The project contributes to research on relapse, extinction, and how behavior changes across different environmental arrangements.
