I’m Benjamin Serface,
a UX researcher focused
on understanding
user behavior.
I use methods from experimental psychology to study how people interact with products. My work focuses on measuring user behavior, designing surveys and behavioral tasks, and analyzing data to identify meaningful patterns in engagement and decision-making. I have experience developing original measurement tools, conducting correlational and moderation analyses, and building systems to capture real-time user input. I aim to translate these findings into clear, practical insights that support product design and improve usability.
Work experience
Corporate IT Technician
Islands Technology / May 2018 - Apr 2025
I supported client organizations by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and workstations. The role required identifying and resolving system issues that affected day-to-day operations, often working directly with users to diagnose problems and restore functionality. This experience strengthened my ability to understand user challenges, reduce friction in system use, and translate technical issues into practical solutions.
UX Researcher
Developmental Digital / Jan 2024 - Present
I focus on improving usability, interaction, and overall user experience across digital products and platforms. My work involves evaluating user behavior, identifying friction points, and helping guide user-centered decisions that improve engagement and accessibility. With a background in experimental psychology, I apply research methods and behavioral analysis to better understand how people interact with digital environments and technology.
